Day 4: Can Stress & Pressure Be A Good Thing???

The difference between the formation of rocks and diamonds is simple – diamonds are rocks that have been put under far more pressure and stress than your average rock. The additional pressure creates a valuable diamond which far exceeds the worth of an ordinary rock.


Flipping the Script

This blog post has taken me a year to write. Every time I felt close to writing it, some less risky activity would distract me and I’d decide to let it simmer on the back burner just a little while longer. But today, I’m feeling inspired – maybe in part by other people who have taken risks themselves. So, I’m feeling somewhat ready and have logged into WordPress for the first time since LAST March – actually a year ago.


Finding Peace In The Present

Anxiety and depression are not as simple as this quote; however, this quote can be a good reminder to live in the present. 


Coping With Stress

Stress is necessary for optimal performance and success, but too much stress can cause burn-out, anxiety, depression and a host of poor health outcomes.  We face stressors each day – and what is interesting is that the same stressor will affect different people in different ways.  This depends on various factors including what situations do we find stressful, how much stress does a certain situation cause us, and how much stress have we already taken on?  In this article I will define what stress is, how it affects us, and then share some tips on How to Cope with Stress.
