What we’ve been through shapes who we are today. We’ve all been through some hard times and some terrible stuff.
Some people will say you get through grief or suffer through trauma. I would like to say we “Grow through grief” and we “Live through trauma”. Do we ever really get past it? Does it ever truly get left behind? I don’t think so.
Those key moment in our past stay with us, they shape who we are today. We are strong because we are living with what we’ve been through, moving from day to day carrying the grief and trauma with us. Don’t let that heavy burden bring you down, be proud of your success. You’ve made it through to today, celebrate your strengths and resiliency. Let them motivate you to keep going, and let it fuel you on the challenges you are facing today.
